Prisoners Cinema is a tripthych video work investigating ideas of a ‘surface’, as a kind of feedback loop, aiming to represent an embodied type of imagery; generated internally by emotional states or as visual phenomenons. Prisoners Cinema is a term which describes the ‘light shows’ experienced by individuals who have been subjected to darkness for a long period of time. Bordering to hallucination, these experiences of light and color harbor a kind of fiction or visual improvisation that we create internally, as the exterior becomes obsolete.
